The Riga Greenhouse is one of the sturdiest on the market, it has been tested against winds up to 100 miles per hour and has never been blown away (when properly anchored to the ground). No eaves aids in shedding snow loads. The Riga Hobby Greenhouse comes standard with 8mm polycarbonate on the roof and sidewalls and 10mm twin wall polycarbonate on the endwalls. No other hobby greenhouse kit on the market comes standard with this kind of insulation. The heavy duty lockable Dutch door offers increased ventilation options while preventing the unwanted access of animals and pests. The doorframe is a wide 29.6 inches, wide enough for a standard wheelbarrow. The Riga Series is the only greenhouse with an oversized, hinged, rear wall window at 42" tall and 30" wide and an oversized roof window 40" wide and 24" deep (equivalent to 2 regular size roof windows).

I live in the Chicago area so I needed a greenhouse that could handle the snow. The roof doesn't allow snow to build up and the thick walls allow me to grow all year long. I had another grenhouse for years but the walls were really thin and it got too cold to grow in the winter. So I bucked up and bought this one, eventhough it was more than I had wanted to spend. I'm going into year 2 and so happy I did spend the extra moola. (Posted on 8/31/2012)
